About Madison’s Place
Madison's Place Group is a 501(c)3 New Jersey based nonprofit organization that offers a unique, innovative, and holistic approach to providing social services, career development, and behavioral health. With a mission to support youth and adults in developing, discovering, and advancing their best selves, Madison Place is the brainchild of Avia Johnson, a clinical social worker, currently in the process of completing her doctoral degree in social work, who herself was faced with adversity upon the loss of her husband to a ruptured brain aneurysm before the birth of her daughter, Madison. He was an excellent chef and, by all accounts, in good health. Having worked with children much of her career, she witnessed the challenges that youth who have experienced trauma and those with IEPs face in realizing their full potential, as well as the adults who care for them. With the understanding of the importance of addressing youth behavioral health and the things that impact it, she created a pathway to support parents and caregivers in raising healthy, happy, socially & emotionally equipped children.

Youth, adults, and families reaching their full potential
Madison's Place provides opportunities for youth, 5- 18, and adults, 19-59, to improve their behavioral health and overall well-being through education & training, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, youth social skills development, youth career development, and educational advocacy for youth exhibiting at-risk and poor decision-making behaviors.
Many parents of youth with IEPs have difficulty interpreting, navigating, and advocating for their child[ren]. It can be a daunting process especially if parents are not aware of the legalities associated with the process of developing an IEP plan. Madison's Place staff are available for school advocacy support for parents when meeting with educators and school administrators. Advocacy services are available to parents in support of their child's full development.
